About the Author

Meet Elaine Fay - writer of children's stories, textbooks, and curriculum materials. Elaine began her journey in children's publishing when she landed her first job at a New York City museum. Making their exhibits exciting for young people by creating fun, engaging educational materials was the challenge. And she loved it!Fast forward to Elaine's years working with major publishers developing elementary and secondary textbooks and related materials. The space afforded her the chance to hone her writing, learn the editorial process, and most importantly to grow in her abilities to connect with educators and their students.Today, after leaving a successful content development company that she started with two partners, Elaine begins a new chapter — writing creative stories to delight children.

Ollie's Pet Rescue

Ollie's Pet Rescue is Elaine's most recent book for young children. Based on a true story, it captures the lovable and hilarious personality of Oliver "Ollie" Puck, a Basset Hound who was rescued from an animal shelter and found a new home filled with unusual rescued pets. Sad to leave his shelter friends behind, Ollie sets out on a mission to find them all homes of their own.

It's a read-along story of friendship, kindness, and the courage to do your best. It encourages young readers to discuss the ideas of loyalty, compassion, and endurance as they face life's challenges.
